About the Role:
We are excited to partner with a fast-growing SME in the Entertainment industry to find a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller. As the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in driving the financial strategy, ensuring robust financial management, and providing insightful analysis to support business growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong leadership capabilities, keen attention to detail, and a passion for process improvement.
They currently have a Finance team of 6, which you will be managing and supporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Provide accurate and timely financial information to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead and manage the finance team, driving performance and development.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on financial planning, risk management, and business strategy.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk management.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the year-end audit process.
- Implement and maintain financial systems and processes to improve efficiency.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the Entertainment industry
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
- Proven experience in managing a finance team and driving operational improvements.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
