Job Title: Conflicts Lawyer
Location: City of London with many accessible transport/tube links
Role: Full-time permanent position

Role Overview: The Conflicts Lawyer will play a key role within the firm’s global Conflicts New Business Department led by the firm’s Deputy General Counsel. As part of the London Conflicts New Business Team, the Conflicts Lawyer will report to the Conflicts & Compliance Manager/Lawyer and collaborate closely with Conflicts/AML Analysts. Together, they will provide exceptional conflicts clearance and new business intake services to Partners, Associates, and Secretaries across global offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review escalated conflicts searches submitted during London business hours and providing conflicts clearance advice.
- Review and approve new client/matters to ensure compliance with the firm’s new business intake policies and procedures.
- Provide advice in relation to the firm’s new business intake policy and procedures as needed.
- Provide advice and assistance to Partners, Associates, and Secretaries regarding the firm’s new business intake policy and procedures as needed.
- Prepare a Conflicts Summary outlining any potential conflicts of interest and business issues, in addition to proposed resolution thereof (e.g., internal conflict clearance, conflict waivers, screens, etc).
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Knowledge of rules of professional responsibility (e.g., SRA’s Code of Conduct for Solicitors/Firms, ABA’s Model Rules of Professional Conduct, etc).
- Admission to a law society or bar association in a jurisdiction where the Firm has an office.
- Experience with the Intapp Open conflicts and new business intake solution.
- Conflicts / new business intake experience at a large international law firm.
