Role: Legal Secretary- Dispute Resolution
Location: Holborn/ Chancery Lane
Hours: Hybrid 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH

The Dispute Resolution Team
The team provides a comprehensive array of litigation services encompassing disputes and investigations in commercial and financial services, contentious trust and probate cases, as well as commercial and residential property conflicts. In addition, we specialize in sports, education, privacy, defamation, and media-related legal matters.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Efficiently coordinating and managing multiple schedules and appointments.
- Creating documents and presentations using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Maintaining professional and courteous communication with clients in a timely manner.
- Organising conference calls, both domestically and internationally.
- Scheduling internal and external meetings.
- Completing and submitting expense reports.
- Coordinating Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points and training seminars.
- Arranging courier services for both UK and overseas deliveries.
- Handling tasks like photocopying, scanning, faxing, and filing as needed.
- Managing email correspondence, including attaching documents, printing, and filing incoming emails, attachments, and confirmations.
- Preparing monthly bills and draft narratives.
- Opening and closing files as required.
- Collaborating with departmental staff and partners to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Monitoring account balances and bill payments within the system.
- Maintaining a detailed log of all billing information.
- Ensuring the upkeep and organisation of departmental directories.
- Providing assistance to colleagues within the department as necessary.
The Candidate
The candidate will perform a broad range of secretarial, document processing and administrative support to fee earners.
This position requires knowledge of legal terminology and procedures, and applicable technology.
Duties include, but are not limited to, client service, word processing
Must have excellent word processing skills and advanced competency in Office 2010, including Outlook, Word and Excel; strong organisational skills; attention to detail; ability to maintain confidentiality; adaptability; professional demeanour; strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prioritise and multitask;
IT in the FirmThe firm has a network running on Windows 7 with Office 2010 running on the desktops with access to Word, Excel and SOS Practice Management system.
The firm has both internal and external e-mail using Microsoft Office and Exchange Server
