Finance Business Partner – Manufacturing Operations
Peterborough / Hybrid working (Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays on-site)
12 month contract
37 hours a week –Monday to Friday
The Manufacturing Operations Finance Business Partner will be responsible for the reporting and analysis of results of not only the Variable Labour & Burden and Period (Fixed) costs for the Peterborough facility, but also the consolidation of the overall global related cost reporting for the business unit, including month end, accountable reporting and annual planning and forecasting cycles.
You will Business Partner with the Operations and Order to Delivery teams offering analytics and insights to support decision making as well as in the completion of reporting, including monthly presentation.
There will also be the opportunity to drive end to end process improvements for business insight reporting using lean thinking and support continuous process improvement through utilization of digital tools such as Alteryx and MS Power BI.
Key Accountabilities of the Finance Business Partner
- Maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards in collaboration with an accounting Service Centre.
- Creating and utilizing automated tools for the updating, analyzing and monthly reporting of consolidated financial results, supporting analysis and reporting processes.
- Support improvement projects to streamline and standardize processes.
- Completion of monthly corporate reporting requirements.
- Support variable labour and burden and period cost related financial forecasting.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Operations and Order to Delivery teams and operational business partners at facilities around the globe.
Qualifications & Experience Required of the Finance Business Partner
- Educated to a degree level or qualified by experience. Professional Certification (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. Processes large quantities of detailed information with high levels of accuracy.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Strong Microsoft office skills essential.
