Job Description

Proclinical is seeking a Project Engineer to lead and manage capital projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and to high-quality standards. This role involves providing technical leadership, adhering to compliance and safety standards, and contributing to a portfolio of projects.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership in process, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
Ensure compliance with internal and external standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct technical appraisals to identify feasible engineering solutions.
Lead design reviews and generate technical documents, such as User Requirement Specifications and Technical Specifications.
Manage project work packages, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
Coordinate with vendors for design reviews, fabrication, installation, and testing activities (FAT/SAT).
Support and execute commissioning and qualification activities.
Ensure smooth handover of completed projects to key stakeholders.
Identify and promote innovative solutions and process improvements.
Perform problem-solving to identify root causes of failures.
Adhere to current GMP requirements for sterile medicinal products.
Develop Quality Risk Assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
Manage safety and environmental considerations for new systems.
Oversee safe equipment startup, shutdown, and job control practices.
Raise any Health and Safety concerns to your line manager or EHS team.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant field.
Professional qualification with IChemE, IMechE, ISPE, or similar is preferred.
Knowledge of project management and engineering best practices within a cGMP or regulated environment.
Understanding of engineering design processes.
Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing process equipment and utility systems is preferred.
