Your Role:
As the Commercial Director, you’ll be responsible for defining and executing Ivy Farm’s commercial strategy, overseeing sales, business development, marketing, and strategic partnerships. You’ll work closely with our Senior Leadership Team to build the foundation for Ivy Farm’s future growth in both domestic and international markets. This is your chance to shape a new frontier in the food industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Strategy Development: Define and execute Ivy Farm’s commercial strategy, aligning it with overall business goals and long-term growth objectives
- Market Development: Identify new market opportunities, negotiating partnerships and collaborations, leveraging licensing opportunities for Ivy Farm’s technology in cultivated meat and related sectors
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders
- Market Insights: shape out knowledge with market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to refine commercial strategies and adapt to changing dynamics
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the R&D and product development teams to align commercial objectives with product innovation and market needs
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Strong background in food technology or alternative proteins with a proven track record of establishing and growing commercial operations in emerging markets
- Leadership: strong leadership and matrix management skills, an eye for details, a can-do attitude with decision making abilities
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the cultivated meat landscape would be amazing, previous experience of biotech or life sciences industry (advantageous if experience in biopharmaceutical/mAb sales in addition to the food industry)
- Partnership Building: Proven experience in business development and forging strategic partnerships
- Being a highly motivated and results driven person, you’ll also be adaptable, used to solving problems, and will flourish in a fast-paced environment
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to analyse market trends, manage financial performance, and adapt strategies to changing market conditions
- Regulation: Understanding of the FDA/FSA/EMA regulations beneficial
- Cross-functional Skills: Demonstrated success in working collaboratively across departments to align product innovation with commercial objectives.
