Technical Sales Engineer (Industrial Engineering)

Laboris Solutions are currently looking to expand their clients Sales and Commercial Engineering Team with the addition of a Industrial Sales Engineer to be based in the Oxfordshire offices.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic, forward-thinking individual who can work as part of a team, or under their own initiative when the situation requires.
International travel is central to the role and although UK Based an ability to travel regularly is essential (Roughly 30%). The role will initially focus on the European Marketplace.
Responsibilities
- To develop professional and working relationships with customers, through managing and interpreting their requirements
- To assist with quotation preparation and administer certain customer accounts.
- To analyse materials, equipment and service costs to determine sales order pricing.
- To provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
- To work on after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required.
- To arranging/Participate in follow-up meetings with clients to retain their business and make further sales.
- To prepare site visits and customer reports.
- To visit customer facilities (worldwide).
- To participate in front-line sales presentations to customers.
- To reporting to Senior Managers in the Sales Department.
General requirements
- The candidates should be highly motivated and be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of an engineering and technical organization. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally. The role calls for an organized and analytical individual, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
- A sound grounding in engineering or a technical background with an interest to participate in a commercial role with exposure to front-line sales of engineered projects.
- A disciplined individual that can work to tight timelines with ability to self-manage multiple tasks.
- Able to work collaboratively and effectively within a team-based environment is a necessity.
- Proficient/fluent in the English language (other languages beneficial).
- Clean full driving licence
Qualifications
- Engineering or Technical Degree with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience post qualification.
- Exposure to process or heavy engineering environments will be an advantage as will experience of project execution and delivery of bespoke engineered solutions.
