Job Description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association with a few sites across the South West who are looking to appoint a Head of Procurement on a 12 month FTC.

This will be a full-time position which can be home based with travel required for meetings once a month (at the office closest to you) and offers a salary of £75,000 to £80,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience acting as a point of contact for senior leadership. Experience within Social Housing is not essential but highly desirable.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

Leading the operating framework for the Group’s procurement activities, underpinned by a robust forward plan and implementation of a long-term strategy for all business areas
Providing specialist support and advice on Procurement issues across the Group, enabling the needs of the business to be met while ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements
Developing, implementing, and monitoring procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines that comply with relevant legislation, regulations, and practices
Overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance, of procurement systems and technology to support procurement operations
Working in partnership with and leading cross-functional teams comprising of group wide operational and management colleagues ensuring they’re fully equipped to deliver against operational targets

Experience required:

Experience required in Social Housing is desirable
A background in Construction/General Indirect Categories

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

MCIPS qualified is preferrable
