Role and Responsibilities:
The Senior UX Designer will be an integral part of the Experience and Development teams, collaborating to create user-centered designs across a variety of platforms. These include websites, native mobile apps, and global design systems. You should be comfortable leading projects independently, from conceptualization through to delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design a wide range of digital products.
- Engaging with stakeholders to define project goals and deliver solutions that meet user needs.
- Creating and delivering UX/CX artefacts such as wireframes, prototypes, user flows, personas, and information architecture.
- Leading workshops and co-design sessions with clients to ensure their vision is incorporated throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conducting user research and usability tests to inform design decisions.
- Developing user stories and maintaining product backlogs.
The Ideal candidate:
3-4 years of experience in an agency environment, specifically in designing digital products. You should bring an exceptional UX design skill set, combined with a strategic and consultative approach. A successful candidate will be able to take a brief and translate it into a well-executed, user-centered solution.
Essential skills include:
- A proven UX design process, from concept through to prototype and UI handover.
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and facilitating client workshops.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including developers, marketers, and product managers.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
- Ability to conduct primary and secondary research and interpret data to inform design decisions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and commercial awareness to ensure project success.
- A robust portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects.
- You must be based in the UK, ideally within commuting distance of Hertford.
