Are you a Network Engineer with fibre or Wireless networking experience and experience providing support / NOC support to customers? If you have some experience of working with Cisco hardware / routers / switches and/or working towards CCNA / CCNP qualifications, this could be an exciting opportunity for you to join a telecommunications solutions & services company that work customers across multiple sectors - such as Telecommunications, Military/Defence, Utilities and Transportation. This opportunity would be a blend between office-based and field support meaning 5 days a week in Gloucester office.
Please note - sponsorship cannot be provided and you must be eligilbe for SC Clearance (5 years of continuous residence in the UK and have not left the country for more than 6 weeks at a time during this period).
This client provides tailored telecommunication solutions to deliver and run mission critical networks for their clients in a wide range of technologies including PDH, SDH, Ethernet/IP, MPLS, Optical specialised, DWDM, Cellular and Wireless, LTE based networking equipment and Syncronisation.

Key Technical Skills
- Specialist knowledge in Optical Networks and associated hardware.
- Familiar with a range of test equipment such as optical power meters & light sources, BERT’s, cellular scanners and multi-meters.
- Familiar with Cellular RTE, Routing & Switching protocols and network synchronisation.
- Able to conduct testing and produce full comprehensive test documentation / reports.
- Experienced in fault finding methodology.
- The ability to manage fault tickets process from beginning to end.
- Ability to administer and run turnkey projects.
- Experience with remote network management platforms.
- Experience in Cisco hardware and configuration, ideally with CCNA level qualifications or working towards.
Additional skills & experience:
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written, internally and externally.
- Comfortable engaging with both customers and suppliers on technical and project related matters.
- Experience using Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work as part of team or autonomously using their own initiative.
- The ability to train other members of the team and customers.
- Ability to transfer existing skills to the Cherry & White environment, technically, process-wise and by experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and to given deadlines.
- Available to carry out field activities as when the business requires, to include GPS & cabinet surveys, Installation of telecoms equipment, commissioning and fault rectification.
