A fantastic opportunity has opened for a Lead Hardware Engineer based in Hatfield.
Role:
The successful candidate will lead the development, design, introduction and delivery of control centre products into the UK market.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Ensure activities are delivered on time and to budget including work package management
- Provide mentorship to other team members, including the provision of annual reviews and development plans
- Support product approval, software integration and project delivery
- Design and development at component/PCB/enclosure level with integration of COTS based hardware products/systems with custom application software, including tools and processes within the business.
Essential Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent experience in electronics/electrical engineering
- C&G Requirements for Electrical installations (16th or 17th edition)
- Analogue and digital circuit design
- Proficient with designing for EMC compliance with sound knowledge of EMC testing
- Experience working in a railway system engineering environment
Desirable:
- Understanding of digital hardware and firmware
- Experience of housekeeping with Intel processors
- Working knowledge of design and Code reviews
- Working knowledge of embedded software and operating systems
