Role: Project / Senior Subsea Project Engineer
The Subsea Project Engineer will work under the Subsea Engineering Manager's supervision. They will oversee and coordinate project completion, from design to commissioning, and manage all technical, engineering, and commercial aspects. The role entails ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant subsea system operations within operating assets, managing subsea engineers and external vendors, and traveling internationally to liaise with subsidiaries. This position is based in London.
Requirements:
- Master of Science Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- 7+ years in the oil and gas industry
- Expertise in Subsea Systems, including XTs, SPS systems, Structures, Controls, Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Suite
- Experience in subsea intervention work and work class ROV operations
- Fluency in English
- Strong communication and people skills

Job Function:
Main Responsibilities and Activities (as listed but not limited to the following):
Support to Production / Operation team
o Provide trouble shooting engineering and execution support for existing subsea equipment,
o Define the execution plan for the identified subsea intervention plan and coordinate the execution offshore.
o Actively work in creating and building on the in-house knowledge of subsea intervention,
o Develop task plan for subsea project,
Design of the facilities:
o Safe design of the facilities compliant with the company policies and international standards & regulations
o Design ensuring operability, maintainability and reliability of the facilities
o Overall coordination and consistency of project activities: coordination of interfaces
Overall control of project schedule
Overall control of project costs:
o Preparation of budget
o Follow-up of commitments, expenses and cost forecast
Respect of statutory requirements
Management of contractors
Prepare close-out report and lesson learnt sessions for all work executed offshore
Other Activities (as listed but not limited to the following):
Coordinates with Company and other entities of the project
Ensures accurate reporting of activities
Maintains good relationship with internal and external parties
Support and mentor less experienced team members
HSEQ responsibilities:
Support and enforce HSEQ objectives and directives
Promote HSEQ awareness of workforce and contractors and ensure that HSE is given the highest priority
Listen to, evaluate any project team members concerns; ensure that potential failures, weaknesses and hazards are immediately addressed and reported
Conduct alignment sessions for project management team members with respect to objectives
Essential Skills:
In depth technical knowledge of Subsea Systems (mainly XTs and SPS systems plus Structures, Controls, Umbilical, Risers and Flowlines) in Deepwater Projects in all project phases (design, tender, construction/testing and installation).
