Here at GXO, were looking for a People Services Specialist to join us on a 12 month fixed-term contract basis. Based out of our Head Office in Northampton, youll play a key part in our central People Services team providing a professional service across a broad range of processes, including case management, all onboarding, lifecycle, and leaver processing, as well as supporting with administration and queries.
Youll be working from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00, with a hybrid working model so you can work from home as well as in the office!

What youll do on a typical day:
- Ensure all tickets are managed, processed, and tracked in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain records of personnel-related data in line with retention guidance, ensuring all personnel files contain the relevant information required
- Work closely with peers and colleagues across People Services to oversee and provide appropriate compliance and governance structure to service improvements identifying risks, issues, and consistency
- Maintain and validate data in HR System, including new hires/terminations, transfers, salary/wage changes, benefit deductions/changes, and work locations
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience in an HR-related role, if you are working towards CIPD Qualification this would be an added bonus!
- A minimum of 1 years in a shared service environment for a large, complex organisation
- Strong knowledge of employment law, GDPR, and contractual law is essential
- Able to work at pace and demonstrate flexibility, you'll be working in an environment with frequent interruptions, changing tasks and priorities
