The Role
We are seeking an experienced Client & Market Insight Analyst to join our team. Their primary responsibilities include the identification of emerging market, competitor and client behavioural trends, understanding their relevance to our business and leveraging data to forecast their potential impact. A key output of this role will be to analyse the underlying factors and drivers behind these trends, helping to understand why they are happening and the implications for our business. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of market dynamics, a strong client/customer experience background and be able to turn the insight into actionable plans which underpin business growth. This role will involve collaborating with internal stakeholders and, where necessary, working with clients to ensure the relevance and integrity of insights.
This is a hybrid role which role can be based within commutable distance of one of the following offices, Birmingham, UK/Swords, Dublin/Almere, The Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive activity, and industry developments.
- Develop forecasting models to predict the future impact of market trends across different business scenarios factoring in root causes and market dynamics.
- Analyse how market trends align with or impact our business objectives with a focus on understanding the factors influencing these changes.
- Collaborate in cross-functional teams (e.g., client care, marketing, finance, product development) to integrate market insights and the underlying drivers into strategic planning.
- Engage with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to present detailed reports with actionable recommendations, including insights into why certain trends are emerging.
- Work closely with external partners, vendors, or research firms to gather relevant market data and industry insights.
- Create regular colleague updates, acting as an ongoing monitoring service for competitor insight, industry and consumer behaviour changes and refine analysis based on evolving trends.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field or relevant depth of professional experience in a similar role.
- Certification in Data Analytics or Market Research would be advantageous.
- Proven experience in market analysis, data analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using forecasting models and data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
- Ability to undertake desk research, manage external research suppliers and interpret/report on findings. Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear business recommendations.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in the Business Services sector.
- Customer experience background considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with advanced data modelling techniques (e.g., regression analysis, predictive analytics).
- Experience interacting with clients or external stakeholders to gather feedback and provide insights.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, including collaboration with cross-functional teams and presenting to senior leadership.
- Experience using CRM systems or business intelligence tools (PowerBI, DBT, Snowflake).
