Job title: Information Security Engineer
Client: Fintech trading firm
Salary: £180,000 + Bonus/Benefits
Location: London (hybrid)
Experience level: 5+ years
My client are looking to bring on an information Security Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive security solutions across both cloud and on-premise environments.
This role will extend beyond research and understanding; you will also contribute to building a robust vulnerability program that safeguards their environment. It's a broad role in which you will have the opportunity to take ownership over a number of exciting greenfield projects - ultimately, you will have a massive impact on their Cyber Security posture, helping protect an organisation that trades billions of pounds every day.
Role:
- Security architecture for cloud/on prem environments
- manage and improve the vulnerability management process
- Develop and optimise threat detection capability.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to oversee the implementation and deployment of CI/CD processes
- Provide guidance to internal teams and mentor juniors.
- Stakeholder management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in automation
- Exposure to devsecops
- Extensive knowledge of security engineering concepts
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and EDR solutions.
- Extensive understanding and experience with in cloud technologies (AWS/Azure)
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
