We have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join us at Lavazza Professional, covering Scotland. To be successful the candidate will need to be based in Scotland and have an understanding of the area. As a key member of the Local Sales Team, the successful candidate will be seeking to gain new business, grow our total customer base and increase overall drinks throughputs in their territory.
The successful candidate will have a new business hunter mentality to drive new customer acquisition through attending business meetings digitally and in person. They will effectively match our Lavazza Professional solutions to the needs of our customer through a consultative approach.
Responsibilities will include:
- Solution selling - matching the right Lavazza Professional solution (including Bean to Cup, Klix, Flavia and other 3rd party machines) to our customers’ needs whilst achieving and exceeding targets
- Achievement of key activity KPI’s
- NSV achievement through selling our drinks products including Klix, Flavia and Lavazza branded products to our customers
- Increasing drinks throughputs and NSV year on year through effective new client acquisition
- Targeted prospecting activity including self-sourced campaigns and supporting our in-house Telemarketing team by attending Outbound and Inbound lead generated appointments
- Cold Tele-appointing and networking via other digital platforms
- Networking through current strategic partnership agreements including but not limited to National Account Framework Agreements
- Maximizing client relationships and gaining referral/recommendation opportunities
- Build and present commercial proposals with support from our financial models
- Developing and managing a varied pipeline of prospect contract negotiations through our CRM platform
- Submitting a monthly forecast of new business wins – accuracy of forecasting is a critical must
- Ensure adherence to company contact strategy with your prospects: Responsible for accurately updating all relevant information on the CRM platform after each appointment. Recording notes of all customer contacts to ensure consistent and quality communication with the client.
- This role is for someone that has Business Development Experience and can show a proven record within sales. Extensive travel will be needed across the area of the North West of England.

The successful candidate will have;
- A minimum GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent
- ‘A’ level or degree level, or equivalent, desirable
- Full and clean Driving License
- Have experience of new business acquisition
- Have experience of Business to Business solution selling
- Proven sales success

- Excellent presenting skills
- Must live in the North West location.
