How you will make an impact
This is a key position to support Safehinge Primera in meeting our ambitious growth plans. We are looking for a high impact individual capable and comfortable working in a fast-growing SME where a culture of collaboration and teamwork is more important than title. You will implement, grow and improve our processes to ensure best practice and repeatable outcomes.
What you'll do
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will drive all aspects of supplier quality management through the business in line with our strategic plan. You will focus on ensuring that our suppliers meet our quality standards and drive continuous improvement in supplier performance.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Develop and maintain supplier quality assurance processes and procedures.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Manage supplier non-conformance reports (NCRs) and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement improvement plans.
- Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics.
- Support the development and implementation of the Business Management System (BMS) with a focus on supplier quality.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure supplier quality issues are addressed and resolved.
- Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers on quality-related matters.
- Participate in supplier selection and qualification processes.

- Previous experience in supplier quality management, including developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance processes.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma is a distinct advantage.
- Understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Understanding of cost and financial impacts.
- Understanding of risk and ability to compile risk analysis reports.
- Commercial and financial awareness.
- Analytical and negotiation skills.
- Passion for continuous improvement.
- Excellent IT and systems skills (we use Odoo ERP, MS365, Google, Hubspot, Entropy).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, or substantial experience gained in a similar role.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably medical, automotive, or aerospace.

- Working hours for this role are Monday – Friday, 9am until 5.30pm (flexible working arrangements are available)
This is a full-time position and will require some travel to our supply chain and partners.

Salary Range: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
