We are seeking a Junior Consultant with at least 1 year of experience in Environmental Due Diligence (EDD) to join our London-based client. This is a hybrid role with one day per week in the office and the rest of the time working remotely.
Role Overview -
This position is ideal for candidates with some experience in Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments or Environmental Due Diligence reporting, particularly in the light industrial, retail, and residential sectors. You’ll work on property transactions for institutional investors, property investment funds, and M&A projects, primarily focused on environmental reporting for property purchases.

Key Responsibilities -
- Assist senior consultants with day-to-day EDD tasks, with a particular focus on construction reporting and environmental reports related to property purchases.
- Conduct environmental site inspections and help produce high-quality, timely EDD reports for a variety of assets, including light industrial, retail, and residential properties.
- Support the collation, organization, and review of data and reports.
- Specialize in Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments, including due diligence for acquisitions and investments, ensuring comprehensive environmental risk evaluation.
- Co-audit alongside senior auditors, with opportunities to transition into lone auditing roles over time.
Required Skills and Experience -
- A degree in environmental sciences or a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience in Environmental Due Diligence, particularly in Phase 1 assessments.
- Strong understanding of environmental assessments, contaminated land evaluation, and risk assessments.
- Excellent proficiency in Word, Excel, and general IT tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a confident, proactive attitude.
- A valid driving license is required for site visits.
Duties and Responsibilities -
- Analyze environmental data, including historical maps, geological and hydrological information, and regulatory databases.
- Prepare reporting templates and organize project folders.
- Write detailed reports based on environmental assessments and site inspections.
- Assist with data review and site inspections alongside senior auditors.
- Conduct environmental audits for light industrial, office, retail, and hotel & leisure properties.
- Support senior consultants with larger portfolios and property investment fund projects.
Working Conditions -
This role offers a hybrid work setup with one day per week in their London office, and the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week. Occasional travel for site visits will be required.
