Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager (ingredients)

Role Purpose:
The Strategic Procurement Manager will own the category sourcing strategy and manage a direct report. You will be a procurement change leader, driving high-level functional transformation for the category. Implementing best practice procurement processes tailored for business needs. You will be accountable and responsible for leading the Ingredients strategy to optimise growth, environmental/social targets, cost and quality, whilst mitigating supply failure risks and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a strategic category management approach across the ingredients supply chain, to optimise the value provided by third parties, taking advantage of cross-functional and international opportunities across the business.
- Define Governance & Performance Framework, Leading initiatives to streamline procurement processes, leveraging technology and best practices to drive efficiency and support long-term goals.
- Leading business partnering with stakeholders across all levels of the business, to drive early alignment to maximise supplier capabilities for growth and profit for the business.
- Identify and deliver a pipeline of activity to enhance the value proposition to consumers, partnering end-to-end across the supply chain to optimise performance.
- Jointly develop and deploy the SRM framework, all associated business processes, guidance and toolkits, across the ingredients team.
- Manage the ingredients commodity market price risk strategy and execution, owning the business communication. Support delivery and shaping future ESG/Sustainability strategy and identify, mitigate and manage risk across direct supplier relationships, improving supply chain transparency, resilience and social and environmental conditions.
Requirements:
- Line management experience
- Strong ingredients or third-party sourcing strategy and supplier relationship management experience.
- Commodity price risk management
- Strong drive to deliver results and build relations at all levels
- Background from FMCG or Food
