We are looking for an energised and ambitious individual to join us as a Digital / Brand Designer, bringing a strong portfolio of web, design and branding projects to the table. You need to be self-motivated, thrive in a fast-paced and creative environment, and be passionate about all areas of design from print and branding to packaging and digital. This is a full-time role; however, we are open to discussing a part-time position based on your level of experience. With the office based in Whitchurch, we are ideally looking for someone who can be office based (with flexible working available). As a Digital / Brand Designer you will play a key role within the team, working collaboratively across a wide range of design projects and clients. This role will require you to utilise your skills and talent, working across the full creative process so an impressive level of attention to detail and communication is a must. From interpreting the initial brief alongside the Directors, to ideation and concepts, right through to design and final artworking/retouching, we are looking for a strong brand guardian that can also bring a fresh and creative energy to our client portfolio.
With a lot of our projects focused on digital branding and UX/UI design, you will need to be a self-motivated designer with a passion and proven track record for delivering intuitive user experiences and beautifully crafted brand identities across digital platforms. You will be working on initial wireframing through to the developer hand over, with a fundamental focus throughout on implementing impressive user-centered design.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and interpret briefs to deliver impactful work, demonstrating a clear awareness of the client’s business needs and target market
- Working on projects from start to finish, creating high quality design concepts right through to the final deliverables that meet the client’s specification
- Ensure the work that you produce in terms of quality control, accuracy to brief, quality of output, and the intended impact of work meets the deadline and to a very high standard
- Deliver total consistency across all design work, enforcing all brand guidelines to the letter, in addition to having the confidence in evolving them as required
- Design lead on digital projects including website structure, sitemaps and wireframing
- Champion best practice for UX/UI design and processes within the company
- Support and facilitate clients through UI/UX decision making process as well as overseeing and briefing third party designers
- Manage and maintain our clients style guide libraries within Figma and relevant documentation, including the creation of user flows and customer user stories
- Support the Client Services team to help determine project objectives, budget, background information and presentation approaches, styles and techniques
- Support the Directors in briefing the wider team/contractors to deliver projects where needed
Essential skills and experience required for the role:
- 3+ years’ experience working in a creative or digital agency
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent design related qualification
- A strong portfolio demonstrating concepts, branding, layouts for a wide range of projects including brand guidelines, websites and digital projects
- A proven track record for delivering digital and brand work and being comfortable creating concepts and owning projects through to completion
- Extensive knowledge of the Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Strong understanding of UX/UI design including experience in creating digital style guides in Figma
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present work with confidence and clarity
Advantageous skills:
- Experience using After Effects and Premier Pro
- Ability to sketch out hand drawn concepts
- Experience using a project management platform such as Asana
- Understanding and ability to update basic HTML and CSS
- Experience in creating templates in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Word)

Location: On-site in Whitchurch, Aylesbury. However, remote / hybrid working can be discussed
Hours: 9am-5:30pm full time (Monday-Friday)
Salary: £35-£40k (based on a full time salary)
