This is an excellent opportunity to develop and deliver an innovative UK & international marketing strategy for a leading global manufacturer and distributor of specialist sustainable building products. They have grown significantly over recent years, supplying a range of quality products via multiple routes to market.
The business is well-placed and financially secure. Being vertically integrated gives them security of supply and positions them attractively against imports from China or the Americas.
They see significant opportunities with both their existing product ranges and NPI.
Despite their success, they are not resting on their laurels. They believe that all aspects of marketing could be improved.
Reporting to the Managing Director, and as part of the senior leadership team; the role will lead, manage and develop the brand, marketing and communication strategy to ensure the delivery of the company’s strategic and market share objectives. Leading and growing a small team to create annual strategic marketing plans, the Marketing Manager will drive activity and support for existing and new channels, maximising opportunities continually supporting their partners and deploying their resources to maximise ROI.
Suitable candidates should have a successful track record in a similar Marketing Manager or Head of Marketing role for a manufacturer of building products sold via multiple channels and internationally so able to cope with considerable complexity.
Candidates should have the following knowledge, skills and experience:
- Formal marketing qualifications equivalent to CIM level 6.
- Has built strategic plans.
- Experience working within a marketing environment in the building products sector.
- Management / team leadership experience.
- Has operated within a commercial capacity in an international environment.
- Demonstrates the ability to build a ‘narrative’.
- Can demonstrate experience of evaluating and measuring the impact of brand awareness and communication programmes.
- Experience of working in a value-added brand-led environment.
- Experience of product management.
- Knowledge of CRM.
- Robust IT competency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Delivered significantly improved marketing activity that has contributed to the growth of the business
- Combination of strategy development but also happy to be hands on, sleeves rolled up delivering the strategy
- All aspects of marketing: online, brochures, marketing material within/support for merchants, trade shows, awards etc.
