Programme Director (Asset Management) – HVAC / Renewables
Location: London (Hybrid) | Salary: £80k-£110k + EMI Bonus Options + Package
Hybrid Working: 3 Days Per Week in Office | Flexible Hours: 10:00 am - 3:00 pm Core Hours
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Programme Director to lead the asset management of third-party commercial property assets, particularly in HVAC, renewable energy systems (Solar, EV Charging, Battery Storage, Heat Pumps), and related technologies. In this pivotal role, you will be fully responsible for the P&L of the Asset Management business unit, ensuring financial performance and growth while overseeing a team of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Asset Managers and contract Asset Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
P&L Ownership & Business Unit Management:
- Take full accountability for the Profit & Loss of the Asset Management business unit. Drive business growth, manage budgets, and ensure the financial success of the unit while maintaining high service delivery standards.
Team Leadership & Asset Oversight:
- Lead and manage a team of O&M Asset Managers and contracted Asset Managers. Oversee on-site contractors, ensuring optimal performance and upkeep of renewable and HVAC assets.
Physical Maintenance & Contractor Management:
- Monitor the performance and output of all installed assets. Ensure contractors have efficient access to sites for timely repairs and communication-related issues.
Data Management & Stakeholder Reporting:
- Collect and manage data from all assets, ensuring transparency and accuracy. Ensure landlords can effectively bill tenants for energy benefits delivered by renewable assets like solar panels and EV chargers.
Energy Management & Cost Optimisation:
- Lead a new initiative in energy management by leveraging on-site assets to optimize energy usage, reducing dependency on the grid and lowering energy costs for the property.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience managing third-party commercial property assets, including HVAC systems, renewable energy installations (Solar, EV, Battery Storage, Heat Pumps), and more.
- Experience as a Meter Operator, with a solid understanding of energy data collection and the energy market, is a strong fit.
- Financial acumen, with experience managing P&L for a business unit, driving both profitability and operational excellence.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing O&M teams and contractors in a complex, multi-asset environment.
- Expertise in energy management and data analytics, with a focus on optimizing energy performance and reducing operational costs.
