We are currently supporting a leading renewable energy investment firm in their search for a Regulatory Analyst to join their expanding Governance, Risk, and Compliance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an organization that manages a global portfolio exceeding £6 billion in renewable energy assets, including wind farms, solar power plants, and cutting-edge energy storage and hydrogen projects.
As a key player in the renewable energy space, this firm has been investing in onshore and offshore wind projects, as well as solar energy across Europe, for over a decade. Their focus on sustainability and long-term asset management requires the support of a dynamic team to manage their continued growth.
Position Overview: The Regulatory Analyst will be responsible for regulatory reporting, third-party due diligence, and ensuring the effectiveness of internal risk controls. This role is essential in maintaining compliance with industry regulations and supporting risk management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Reporting:
- Ensure the accurate and timely submission of MiFIR, EMIR, and REMIT reports, while staying informed of any regulatory updates. Work closely with internal teams to compile and verify necessary data.
- Third-Party Screening:
- Conduct due diligence on third-party relationships and maintain a comprehensive database of risk assessments. Identify potential risks and escalate issues as required.
- Monitoring & Testing of Risk Controls:
- Develop monitoring plans and perform testing to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls. Present findings and recommendations for improvement to senior leadership.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Utilize Microsoft Power App, Power BI, and Advanced Excel to conduct data analysis and reporting. Create dashboards to track compliance metrics and provide insights for decision-making.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with the Compliance Manager and other departments on compliance initiatives. Effectively communicate with regulatory bodies and auditors, and stay updated on best practices in regulatory compliance.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in a financial services environment, particularly within compliance or risk management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power App, Power BI, and Advanced Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
