An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer to join our leading Engineering Consultancy, operating within our OMC cost centre (i.e., Oxford, Milton Keynes, and Cambridge) based in our Cambridge Office.

Role profile
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for the development of electrically focused designs and construction stage monitoring activities. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team of talented engineers and support staff, delivering a consistent high-quality service for Clients, ensuring that repeat and new business opportunities are developed, and profitability is achieved.
- You will be working on a varied portfolio of projects locally, and potentially further afield (including internationally) if this is of interest.
- Projects span a cross-section of sectors including Science and Research, Higher Education, Healthcare, Commercial and high-end mixed-use developments.
- You will have the opportunity to deliver and manage small scale projects, or multiple elements on more complex projects, working alongside the multi-disciplinary team within the office.
- You will have the opportunity to engage with works throughout all stages of a project life cycle, through inception, pre-construction, construction, handover and post-occupancy.
Candidate profile
The candidate will:
- Have experience in construction and the MEP space with an understanding of what Hoare Leadoes.
- Have sound technical knowledge in electrical design engineering.
- Be proficient in IT systems to engage with the tools that Hoare Lea use.
- Be ambitious, creative, and driven.
- Take ownership of the quality of their output
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skillsand be confident and assertive in communicating with people at all levels to enable you to build good working relationships with all those around you – both internally and externally.
- Have strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task are essential, with a good team spirit.
- Have the ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
Possessing a master’s or other relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
