The Role
The Moredun Group is currently seeking an exceptional Finance Director to hold a crucial position both within our Senior Management team and on our Board, serving as a strategic partner to the Board of Directors.
You will be responsible for all financial activities for The Moredun Group, including for the Foundation, Moredun Research Institute, Moredun Scientific Limited, Pentlands Science Park Limited, Wormvax Australia Pty Ltd and other non-trading group companies.

The Moredun Group comprises The Moredun Foundation, the Moredun Research Institute, Moredun Scientific Limited, Pentlands Science Park Ltd., the Equine Grass Sickness Fund (a division of the Foundation), Wormvax Australia Pty Ltd and several smaller/dormant companies.

Experience required
You will have:
- A degree and a Chartered Accountant qualification (ICAS/ICAEW or equivalent)
- Extensive knowledge of finance management, including company and charity regulations.
- Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably with Board exposure, alongside outstanding understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques
- A thorough understanding of legal principles, compliance mandates, and corporate governance
- Experience in managing a large group of staff and their activities in a complex organisation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
