Job Title: Interim Financial Controller

Location: Edinburgh (4 days per week in office)

Type: 3-6 month contract

Day Rate: £450 per day

Finatal is partnering with a rapidly expanding Private Equity-backed financial services firm. The company is highly acquisitive and therefore is seeking an interim Financial Controller tohelp drive key financial operations during a period of transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring timely and accurate month-end reporting.
Oversee and enhance financial controls, processes, and systems to support scalability.
Manage the finance team, providing leadership and support to ensure high performance.
Support the preparation of statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP
Provide detailed financial analysis to assist in strategic decision-making for the senior leadership team.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on budget forecasts, financial planning, and cash flow management.
Assist with audits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Skills & Experience Required:

ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
Strong technical accounting skills, including statutory reporting and consolidations.
Prior experience in a Private Equity-backed business is highly desirable.
Prior experience in a Financial Services Firm is highly desirable.
