This leadership role is a field-based position, developing the strategic direction and motivating a sales team to deliver quality and profitable new business. Working around the Midlands and Northern regions, this person will be a key influence in embedding the company values and growing the business.
Key Responsibilities -
- Evaluate existing clients and identify further opportunity to maximise relationships and solutions.
- Build a sustainable pipeline with new clients and sectors.
- Develop and implement a sustainable growth strategy across the midlands and northern region - mitigate risk vs reward.
- Achieve and exceed budgets through developing new and existing client relationships.
- Responsibility for reporting on the sales budget vs actuals - tracking trends and escalating any issues.
- Lead and develop a team to ensure consistent delivery and targets are met.
- Chair monthly meetings to address any training issues, strategic plans, map current projects and identify new opportunities with your team.
- Work collaboratively across the commercial teams, hire desks and recruitment teams to ensure that all leads are followed through.
- Develop strong relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote the business values, vision and ethos across all business units, clients and stakeholders.
To Be Successful -
- Demonstrable experience a leadership sales position in relevant industries - construction, merchanting, plant hire and asset rental.
- Excellent diplomatic communication skills across all levels.
- Financially literate - budgeting and report writing.
- Natural passion for delivering best customer experience and first class service.
- Skilled at delivering engaging presentations.
- Integrity to always do the right thing.
- Proven track record of delivering on targets and growing business revenue streams.
- Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel.
