Role Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and ambitious Business Development Manager to support our growth in the Midlands region. The successful candidate will focus on building and nurturing relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and representing our family-run values within the market. This is a unique opportunity to join a close-knit, expanding team where you will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s success in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with existing and potential clients to establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships.
- Actively network and attend events to identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Promote the company’s services and reputation within the Midlands region, ensuring strong brand presence.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including project management and commercial departments, to ensure smooth project transitions from business development to delivery.
- Assist in preparing and delivering tenders, proposals, and presentations to prospective clients.
- Keep up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to align business development efforts.
- Support the company’s long-term growth strategy by identifying potential sectors and key client partnerships.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to increase visibility and generate leads.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a business development or client-facing role, ideally within the construction or related industries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long-lasting client relationships.
- Strong networking abilities, with the confidence to represent the company at industry events.
- Results-driven and motivated by achieving growth targets and opening new markets.
- Experience and knowledge of the construction industry and its project lifecycle is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Well-organized and proactive, with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
