Role Overview:

They are seeking a Highly skilled Offshore Wind Structural Specialist with a minimum of 5 years’ experience (8+ years preferred) in offshore wind. This role will focus on providing technical leadership in foundation design, managing multiple workstreams, and ensuring effective client communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership for offshore wind foundation design projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Collaborate closely with project managers and other engineering disciplines to solve complex design problems.
Manage multiple workstreams, including overseeing the work of junior engineers and liaising with fabricators and installation contractors.
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Develop and present project updates, technical reports, and presentations to stakeholders and clients.
Proactively identify and address project challenges, managing client expectations and requirements.
Take ownership of technical tasks within your area of expertise and provide mentorship to junior team members.
Progress towards leading larger projects with appropriate support and guidance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in offshore wind engineering, with a strong technical background in structural design (FEA, primary/secondary steel).
Preference for experience in secondary steel design, but broad technical awareness in offshore wind foundation design is essential.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively within a team.
Strong leadership qualities, with a proactive and motivated approach to work.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and present technical information clearly.
Experience in dealing with client demands and managing expectations effectively.
