OVERALL PURPOSE
The (Senior) Finance Manager is responsible for the good standing of the Company’s finance accounting and the controller of the UK and the EU payment operations.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The position reports to Group CFO, with a dotted reporting line to the UK Director.
PRINCIPAL ELEMENTS & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Oversee and in charge of the Company’s financial accounting, including bookkeeping, reconciliation, financial reporting, financial control, tax filing, financial audit and analysis related to the Company’s financial accounting.
- Supervise the UK and the EU Finance and payment operations, including treasury management, bank account and relationship management, operational quality control, incident management and automation improvement.
- Develop, implement and maintain financial policies and procedures.
- Assist the UK and the EU Directors in managing the organisation's financial planning and budgeting processes.
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports to inform management decisions.
- Work with the Authorized Managers to manage the company's cash flow and liquidity.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and other relevant regulations.
- Oversee and/or prepare the required financial statements and reports.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial professionals.
- Provide financial advice and guidance to senior management.
- Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and systems and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage and develop the Finance & Payments team, including setting performance objectives and providing coaching and mentoring.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Educated to a graduate level.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience, ideally within the payment services industry.
- At least 1 year’s experience in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
SKILLS
- Proficiency in English is required. Chinese (Mandarin) is a strong advantage.
- Experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, and data analysis tools.
- Good written and spoken communication skills, analytical and leadership skills
