Salary: £35,000 plus pension and bonus
Working days with half day finish on Friday
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team. The role involves conducting inspections, from dimensional assessments to non-destructive testing, both onsite and at vendor or customer premises, ensuring that product quality meets exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct goods inwards inspection to assess visual and dimensional requirements.
- Perform service equipment inspections for customer parts.
- Inspect valve builds to ensure quality standards are met.
- Review and approve first article inspection reports from vendors.
- Conduct patrol inspections in warehouse areas.
- Ensure adherence to calibration schedules.
- Assist in resolving initial product issues.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineers and engineering teams on problem resolution.
- Analyse material certificates and verify certification compliance.
- Support inspections of certified equipment.
- Liaise with vendors, customers, engineering, and service teams for quality control.
- Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (MPI, UT, DPI).
- Record inspection results and ensure compliance with certification requirements.
Requirements:
- Time-served engineer with a background in manufacturing or engineering.
- Strong understanding of dimensional measurement and inspection techniques.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems for quality control.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to engage with internal teams and external vendors.
