Are you looking for an exciting and varied Paralegal role?

Our well-respected legal client is seeking anExecutry Paralegal to join their busy Executry team in Edinburgh.

This position offers a dynamic work environment where you can apply your expertise and contribute to a supportive team.

What you’ll do

Administer testate and intestate executries from initial meeting to conclusion
Proactively manage your own caseload while providing exceptional client service
Communicate effectively with Executors and other third parties as necessary
Identify and resolve client issues professionally and efficiently
Demonstrate a strong understanding of inheritance tax exemptions and reliefs, including the ability to produce inheritance tax calculations
Complete HMRC inheritance tax forms accurately
Prepare Executry accounts in compliance with legal requirements
Possess knowledge of legal rights related to executries, including calculations and common issues that may arise
Build and maintain positive relationships within the firm and provide guidance to colleagues across different specialisms
Adhere to the firm’s financial policies, time recording, and AML compliance protocols
Maintain accurate records within the firm’s document management system

What you’ll need

Relevant formal qualification(s), preferably recognised by the Law Society of Scotland’s Accredited Paralegal scheme
Minimum of 5 years of experience in dealing with executries
Commercially focused approach to managing workload effectively and efficiently
Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Ability to establish and nurture professional relationships with clients and third parties
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, including delegating tasks and supporting colleagues
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
