Community Integrated Care is on an exciting journey of transformation and growth and we are looking to appoint an experienced, Head of Information and Regulatory Governance to join our Quality and Compliance Team on a full time, permanent basis!
This is a full time, permanent post and you can be based anywhere in the UK but must be available to travel to our head office in Widnes and nationally as and when required.

The successful candidate will lead the information governance, risk management and complaints function of the charity, owning all related policies, processes, and controls to deliver a high a performing service. The Head of Information and Regulatory Governance plays a crucial role as part of the central Quality and Assurance Team, working with colleagues across the charity to deliver high quality safe care that enables and supports people to live their best lives possible.
Lead the development and implementation of Information Governance and regulatory compliance strategies, through effective prioritisation, optimising allocation of resources, managing benefits realisation, risks and constraints to ensure alignment of data governance practices across the organisation, to support the achievement of organisational strategy.
As the nominated Data Protection Offer (DPO) for the charity, this role liaises with the ICO and advises and guides the charity in the application of GDPR and other data protection legislation to ensure the charity remains compliant and meets all statutory and legislative requirements.
Day to Day (list not exhaustive see attached job description)
- To lead the on-going development and implementation of effective information governance and undertake DPO role
- Support the Caldicott Guardian and make recommendations / advise on requests for information sharing
- Oversee Policy management
- Oversee the Complaints, Speak Out and feedback function of the charity
- Oversee the establishment and maintenance of effective risk management and board assurance processes, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring.
- Lead the development and implementation of information management strategies working closely with support function colleagues.
- Commission regular audits and conduct reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and information management processes and controls.
- Working with key internal stakeholders in the review of projects and related data to ensure compliance with data privacy laws, and where necessary advise on privacy impact assessments
- Collaborating with the Information Security function to raise employee awareness of data privacy and security issues and providing training on the subject matter.

- Excellent analytical skills.
Skills and Experience
- Degree, degree level qualification in business administration, information technology or related field desirable
- Qualifications in governance, information governance and related subjects such as ISO or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or other relevant certifications preferred.
- Certified Data Protection Officer (C-DPO)
- Proven experience in developing and implementing governance, risk management, and information management strategies within a complex organisation.
- Expertise in formation governance and data protection
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to social care, governance, risk management, and information management.
