Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Location: Coalville, Leicestershire
Salary: 26,000 - 28,000 GBP per annum
Working hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm (Mon-Fri)
Reporting to: Technical Manager

Job Description
We are seeking a QA Technician to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a QA technician role, preferably within the food manufacturing industry. As a QA Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Job Requirements For QA
• Perform daily GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and NCR (Non-Conformance) reporting
• Conduct routine quality and Food Safety checks
• Perform microbiological and allergen swabbing
• Carry out microbiological product sampling
• Conduct thorough quality checks
• Perform daily and weekly calibrations
• Conduct monthly glass and plastic audits
• Manage and participate in daily taste panels
• Audit production paperwork for compliance
• Administration duties, document control, supplier approval.
• Undertake/participate in continuous improvement initiatives as required.
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Technical Manager.
What Makes You the Perfect Fit
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in QA or manufacturing in a food environment is a must
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Proficient in both written and verbal English
- Ideally possess Food Safety Level 2 certification
- Ideally Haccp trained
- Administration skills & IT literate
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Compliance oriented with an eye for detail.
