Job Overview:
The SEO Specialist will manage a growing portfolio of clients on monthly retainers, ensuring their websites perform optimally in search engine rankings. You will conduct site audits, analyse performance metrics, and implement necessary changes, collaborating closely with our design and development teams to create exceptional, optimised websites and ensuring thorough optimisation prior to launch. Additionally, you will compile comprehensive reports and present findings and recommendations to clients. Working alongside our directors and project manager, you will contribute to pitches and proposals, enhancing our SEO offerings and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
– Client Management:
- Oversee a portfolio of SEO clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and reporting.
– Site Audits & Performance Analysis:
- Conduct thorough SEO audits of client websites to identify areas for improvement.
- Analyse site performance using various tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush) and prepare detailed reports.
– Implementation & Collaboration:
- Work with the development team to implement necessary changes based on audit findings and performance analysis.
- Ensure thorough optimisation of new sites prior to launch.
- Stay updated on SEO best practices and algorithm changes to ensure client sites remain competitive.
– Reporting & Presentations:
- Compile and present performance reports to clients, highlighting key metrics and insights.
- Provide actionable recommendations and strategies for ongoing improvement.
– Business Development Support:
- Collaborate with company directors and the project manager to develop SEO strategies for client pitches and proposals.
- Contribute to the growth of the agency’s SEO service offerings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role in a web agency or digital marketing environment.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, tools, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO-related tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive insights.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to clients confidently.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also managing individual client responsibilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning in the SEO landscape.
