Equity Partner - Insolvency
£90,000 basic salary + profit share

A Legal 200 and top tier Legal 500 firm with a main office in Reading is looking for a new Partner (or Senior Associate) to join their firm and assist in the management of their Insolvency and Corporate Recovery team. This team, while small, is Legal 500 recognised and well regarded for its high level of technical knowledge, managing complex contentious cases especially in the recovery space.
Due to the departure of an existing Partner this is an excellent opportunity for a well developed Legal Professional to join with the benefits of equity, and grow the team as they desire. Responsibilities:
- Act on behalf of administrators, liquidators, and trustee clients, providing support on matters including insolvency, bankruptcy and administration processes.
- Handle contentious claims relating to instances of company wrongdoing.
- Develop relationships with a client base of mid-sized, owner-managed businesses.
- Work with 2 junior members of staff on a day-to-day basis, with some management duties.
- Assist in the development of the department and firm.
- Partner level duties as required.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified legal professional with an exceptionally strong reputation and standing in the insolvency sector.
- Experience at a Senior Associate, Counsel, or Partner level, with the ability to lead in insolvency and restructuring matters.
- Developed empathy and communication skills with good abilities to communicate with Ips and stakeholders, as well as manage junior members of the team.
- Strong technical ability both in matters of law and in organisational matters, with the ability to handle multiple liquidations and investigations simultaneously.
