About the Role:
We are seeking a Fire Compartmentation Specialist to lead and drive compartmentation services, working across surveying, compliance, and technical teams. In this key role, you will assess fire safety risks, identify compartmentation deficiencies, and provide expert advice on remediation strategies for multi-occupied residential and commercial buildings. You’ll collaborate with surveyors, architects, and fire engineers to ensure all remediation work is compliant with fire safety regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fire Risk Assessments: Review and propose solutions to remediate non-compliant areas.
- Compartmentation Surveys: Identify and assess deficiencies in compartmentation, including doors, across high-risk buildings.
- Client Reporting: Provide detailed reports and recommendations, advising on remediation strategies and compliance matters.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project teams and stakeholders to ensure fire safety compliance and oversee remediation projects.
- Compliance: Ensure all work meets current British fire safety regulations and standards, including the Building Safety Act and RRFSO.
- Mentorship: Support and mentor team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to manage compartmentation and fire safety projects.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Deep understanding of fire compartmentation, passive fire protection solutions, and remediation strategies.
- Familiarity with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (RRFSO), Building Safety Act, and UK Building Regulations.
- Expertise in construction methods, fire safety materials, and industry standards.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
