Location: South West London – must be willing to work onsite full-time

£27,000 - £30,000 plus 30 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays), additional days leave for every year up to 3 days, free gift on your birthday, pension, volunteer days, company discounts.

This B Corp fashion brand with an enviable name is looking to expand with an Assistant Buyer to join their buying and design team. You'll work closely with the buying team to source eco-friendly materials, manage supplier relationships, and help create collections that reflect the brands commitment to ethical and sustainable fashion.
This role will suit someone with previous fashion buying experience, you’ll naturally be aware of what’s on trends but more importantly future trends for the coming seasons. Creativity is important as this brand is known for their stunning designs, however commercial understanding is equally important.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and curating collections that align with the brand’s sustainable mission
- Work with suppliers and manufacturers to source sustainable fabrics and materials
- Monitor stock levels and assess product performance to inform future buying decisions
- Support the Senior Buyer in managing the full critical path from product concept to launch
- Analyse sales data, trends, and market insights to identify new opportunities
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure best prices, lead times, and quality standards
- Collaborate with the design and merchandising teams to ensure the alignment of collections with brand vision
- Ensure compliance with ethical sourcing and sustainable supply chain practices
Skills & Experience:
- Proven Experience within buying: preferably within a sustainable or ethical fashion brand.
- Analytical Ability: Strong skills in analysing sales data, forecasting trends, and making data-driven decisions.
- Critical Path Management: Solid understanding of critical path management and the product lifecycle in fashion.
- Creativity: Ability to spot trends and translate them into sustainable, sellable collections.
- Negotiation Skills: Experienced in supplier negotiations, with an ability to build strong relationships while maintaining cost-efficiency.
- Interest in Sustainability: Deep knowledge or interest in sustainable fashion practices and eco-friendly materials.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management skills.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
