Job Title: Service Desk Engineer
Location: Dundee (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Salary: Up to £30k, depending on experience

Role Overview:
We are looking for a Service Desk Engineer to join the team. This role requires someone with strong IT knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of both hardware and software systems for a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance for PC and laptop hardware.
- Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems.
- Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 and associated services.
- Use security tools like AV/EDR, spam filtering, and web filtering to safeguard systems.
- Diagnose and resolve basic networking issues, including DHCP/DNS.
- Implement security best practices to protect systems and data.
- Deliver excellent customer service in a client-facing role.
Essential Skills:
- Strong expertise in PC and laptop hardware troubleshooting and repairs.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 support.
- Familiarity with security tools, such as AV/EDR, spam filtering, and web filtering.
- Understanding of basic networking, including DHCP/DNS.
- A security-first mindset, with the ability to prevent and mitigate threats.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working directly with customers.
Desirable Skills:
- A valid UK driver’s license.
- Experience with ITIL practices.
- Knowledge of Mac OS.
- Experience with firewalls/routers.
- Background in MSP environments (supporting multiple clients).
