NHS Procurement Specialist
Inside ir35 - £243 PER DAY
Location: Norwich (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)
5 Month Assignment – current end date, 31st march
Working for a Norfolk based NHS Trust, you will take responsibility for the purchase of clinical & non-clinical digital health equipment, systems and managed services through competitive procedures and delivering contracts.
Proactively supporting the Trust and wider partner project managers to deliver strategic digital health initiatives, taking the lead on workstream delivery where appropriate.
Essential Experience
- Experience of working within the NHS.
- Knowledge of professional purchasing principles acquired through a degree or Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPs), IACCMS or equivalent experience.
- Project Management experience
- Significant experience of negotiating £multi-million digital health contracts with suppliers
- A track record of achieving significant cost reductions in a £multi-million portfolio.
- Demonstrable experience of managing large competitive tenders/quotations.
- Experience of public or major corporation procurement.
- Experience of working within the public sector and working knowledge of EU regulations (desirable).

- Ensure effective use of team resources.
Financial Management
- Assure compliance with Trust SFIs for £mulita-million external spend portfolio.
- Work within the hospital rules and procedures as set out in Trust Standing Orders, Standing Financial Instructions, and other documents.
- Always act with probity.
- Safeguard compliance with Conflicts of Interest procedures, especially during competitive tendering procedures.
