We have an Amazing opportunity for a Lead Oncology Pharmacist to join one of the U.Ks leading community pharmacy providers based in Harlow, Essex.
We are looking for someone that can Prescribe.
Salary up to £70,000
Mon - Fri - 8.30am till 5.30pm
Role of a Lead Oncology Pharmacist – Prescriber
• Lead, develop, implement and monitor specialist clinical pharmacy services
• Provide clinical leadership to all staff and offer specialist advice for the ongoing care of patients
• Perform clinical verification of prescriptions
•Provide timely and expert clinical advice to medical and nursing staff to enable them to prescribe and administer medication in a safe, appropriate and efficient manner
•Review Operational processes ensuring compliance, fit for purpose and make any recommendations for change to the Head, Central Pharmacy Services.
• Champion and support continuous improvement within the Central Pharmacy Operational areas.
• Ensure the accurate recording of process non-conformance and non-compliance.
• Deliver department Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and be accountable for the delivery of best practice Pharmacy Operations meeting professional and industry standards, cost and quality parameters.
• Support the Head, Central Pharmacy Services in ensuring that the facility is organised, maintained and managed in a manner that is conducive to best practise; ensuring colleagues are suitably trained and assessed.
• To drive and implement strategies for improving performance and drive and lead the development and improvement of processes. To challenge ways of working and persuade, motivate and influence other senior managers to realign their practice where necessary
• Support the Head, Central Pharmacy Services in on boarding of new business and patients. Work with the implementation team to develop new prescription templates
Lead Oncology Pharmacist – Prescriber Requirements
• Minimum 3 years Oncology experience
• Experience leading a team
• Previous management experience
• Completed the Independent Prescribing Course
