Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Specialist - Circa £38,000-£45,000 depending on experience

Over the years we have invested heavily in Positive Behaviour Support as a fundamental and holistic practice throughout our services. We now have a team of 20+ PBS practice leaders working cohesively across the services within the core teams for each individual, creating bespoke and sustainable strategies to support individuals, reducing behaviours of concern and enhancing quality of life. We are looking to expand the team and invest in more clinical expertise.
The Role
Due to our current growth and continued investment in Positive Behaviour Support and clinical expertise, we are seeking a committed professional who is looking for their next career move.
The principal responsibilities of this role would include:
- Completing a variety of assessments / using appropriate assessment tools to develop Comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments
- Develop a wide range of support practices as part of a Positive Behaviour Support Plan for individuals across HFHC’s support services
- Working collaboratively with the individuals we support and key stakeholders in identifying, and achieving, goals, aspirations and desired outcomes - underpinning these with clinical frameworks and quality of life outcomes
- Utilising / analysing data to inform Clinical and Operational decision making
- Coaching and mentoring the support teams in adopting new support practices and/or enhancing existing support practices
- Reviewing the Procedural Fidelity of support teams and support practices across locations
- Delivering Post-Event Debriefs to explore potential Learning Outcomes and support the Wellbeing of those involved
- Creating relevant reports and documentation to an exceptional standard.
The Person will have:
- Relevant Post Graduate studies, such as an MSc in Positive Behaviour Support or Applied Behaviour Analysis, preferably qualified as a BCBA, BCaBA, UKBA(Cert) or aUKBA(Cert)
- Previous experience with working with Adult Residential support services and developing Functional Behaviour Assessments and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
- Knowledge and understanding of a variety of recognised Best Practice & Clinical Models for enhancing and measuring Quality of life outcomes
- Able to use and manage, large amounts of quantitative, qualitative and anecdotal information to in write reports and relevant documentation for a wide audience of Key Stakeholders
