The role of Buyers Administrator plays a critical part in the purchasing team at CLAD Safety, they support the team and ensure efficient operations throughout the product lifecycle. Their work contributes to successful product launches and overall business performance.
Purpose of this role:
To provide administrative support to the Purchasing team.
The focus of this role will be to:

Critical path management to ensure product development is running to schedule.

Ensure that Purchase orders are raised in line with critical dates to ensure on-time delivery in full (OTIF).

Maintain any changes in delivery dates and keeping the wider teams updated.

Maintenance of the sample library.
Additional responsibilities will be to support the wider purchasing team in line with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Critical Path Management
Working closely with suppliers to maintain key product development milestones and maintain the smooth running of the buying cycle
Contributing to weekly Purchasing meetings with any updates
Purchase Orders
Be the main point of contact for all PO queries for the purchasing department
Creating Purchase orders with correct prices and delivery to agreed lead times
Working closely with our forwarders and factories to maintain delivery dates
Issuing weekly intake tracker to the wider teams, ensuring key stakeholders (in particular goods in) can plan for stock arrival.
Supporting the Customer Service team to manage the shortfall queue with the guidance of the Buyer
Managing Samples
Developing our sample management system so items are clearly labelled and easily located when needed.
Coordinating annual review with the full purchasing team of which samples may no longer be required.
Sourcing suitable products to support customer inquiries and tender submissions.
Monitoring Carriage paid costs to ensure deliveries are being placed efficiently keeping additional costs to a minimum.
Building relationships with key suppliers.
Provide department support in busy periods and any other ad-hoc work that may be required.
