Job Description

We are looking for experienced journalists and editors to cover World affairs and geopolitics for Post factum.

You will be writing (and/or commissioning) data-driven retrospective reports revisiting major geopolitical events of recent years. Please see our website for examples.

We expect you to have a firm grounding in economics, politics, statistical analysis and media, comfortable to undertake independent research on long-term trends in global affairs.

This is currently a freelance position, but long-term contractual commitment is possible.

We offer premium compensation and support with further training for regular contributors.

Post factum aims to combat three major problems of modern news journalism - (1) dominance of opinions over facts, (2) complete focus on immediate news of the day and (3) over-abundance of news media content.

To do so we (1) share the best available data and analysis without value judgement, (2) focus on long-term trends to leverage hindsight and (3) curate, edit and visualise information, aiming to maximise reader’s understanding and value.
