Working at Beacon House as an Activities Co-Ordinator, you will provide a high level of activities and support to our residents.

About Activities Co-Ordinator

We are looking for a bubbly, energetic person who is passionate about creating and organizing exciting activities for our residents.

You will be responsible for organizing weekly activities, plan and communicate with the community outside of the to develop future plans and events.

If you are passionate about caring for the elderly and those with dementia we would love to hear from you.

Previous activity Co-Ordinator role experience would be a bonus.

Activities Co-Ordinator Job Description:

Arrange and deliver activities for residents to provide a stimulating environment to meet their emotional, social and physical needs.
Get to know our residents, their interests and life stories, so you can deliver activities that enrich their lives and ensure they feel connected with their community
Supporting our residents and encouraging them to partake in activities
Keeping residents’ activity records up to date
Organising events at the home
To take responsibility for the completion of the home’s newsletter & activity board.
Update Facebook with the activities going on at the home.
Arranging entertainment
Organising trips and transport
Any other reasonable task requested by the Manager which is within your competence.

Good communication and organisational skills
Team player
Ability to work on own initiative
Friendly and confident
Satisfactory DBS Check

Job Type: Permanent Expected Hours: 30 hours per week Pay: £12.00 - £12.25 per hour.
