Overview of Role:
The primary responsibility of the Gas Engineer will be to maintain and repair heating systems in our commercial buildings. They will ensure that the heating & hot water systems are operating efficiently and safely, and that any repairs are completed in a timely manner ensuring customer satisfaction. We also maintain and repair the heating systems of Domestic properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and repair gas systems and appliances in our commercial buildings which is mostly Schools.
- Conduct inspections to identify any potential issues or safety hazards.
- Repair or replace faulty components or equipment.
- Test gas systems for leaks and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding gas system operation and maintenance.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget - Ensure all Health and Safety requirements and legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and COSHH Records, are adhered to during your daily work.
- Commissioning the new systems once installed and fill out warranty/Benchmarks for handovers.
Requirements:
- Gas qualifications are essential for this role including Commercial tickets. (Domestic ticket is a bonus)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
- Ability to assemble, weld, and use power tools effectively.
- Experience in plumbing or carpentry is a plus.
- Proficient in basic math calculations.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- Familiarity with hand tools and their proper usage.
