A fulfilling and exciting opportunity available for a residential support worker post in our new Alfreton service.

Purpose of the role
- This role is a key member of the team, providing assistance and guidance to 10 unaccompanied asylum seeking young people within a 24 hour supported accommodation setting.
- The post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering nurturing person centred support that is bespoke to suit the needs of each individual accessing the service.
- The support should assist residents in developing the skills required to settle in to a new area, overcome barriers and learn skills towards independence.
- Some young people may have experienced significant trauma in their home country and on their journey to the UK.
- The post holder must be empathetic, knowledgeable and professional in understanding the specific needs of asylum seeking adolescents transitioning into adulthood.
- Speakers of other languages would be an advantage (especially Arabic) but not essential.
- You will be expected to contribute to the maintenance and development of the Associations values, culture and ethos.
