Role: As the Sales Coordinator, this on-site role focuses on supporting the sales and operations teams by handling freight coordination, customer service, and order processing.
As well as the above, as the Sales Coordinator you will also be expected to: - Handle freight coordination and manage orders, ensuring all orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare quotes for the commercial team using our freight management system.
- Coordinate with the Commercial Director and Head of Commercial to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communication.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries by phone and email to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Support the Commercial team by keeping client and prospect information updated in our CRM system.
- Assist in generating and submitting monthly reports and other required documents for the Commercial team – ensure accurate reporting at all times!
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all aspects of the role.
- Team collaboration is key!
- Actively contribute to team discussions and offer insights to improve processes and service quality.
- Work alongside the Commercial team to support lead generation and follow up on potential business opportunities.
Requirements
As the Sales Coordinator, you will be organised, customer-focused, and possess a thorough understanding of shipping and logistics operations, with at least 2 years of experience in the freight or shipping industry.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities – confidence to communicate at all levels and to make outbound calls as well as inbound.
- Previous use of freight systems.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and clarity when communicating and inputting data.
- Friendly, customer-focused and collaborative approach
