Pilgrim's Europe opportunity to join our Production team in Dungannon!

Job Title: Operations Team Lead

Working Hours:

Team B - 5am to 2pm

The Purpose of the Role:

The Operations Team Lead should ensure the manufacture of quality products which meets production needs and Customer Specification and achieves profit and performance targets. Driving continuous improvement to maximise operational effectiveness and efficiencies through the development of people, process and systems. Enhancing the group, mission vision and values.

Key Responsibilities:

Some budgetary control, Yields, Labour, A grade to B grade losses
Management and development of team under direct control
Maintains and ensures Quality, Hygiene and productivity standards are maintained in the production environment.
Responsible for the performance and speeds of lines with the aim of maximising line efficiency.
Work to improve the work methods for productivity, performance, safety of the operation.
Responsible for effective shift change overs which includes paper work and machinery.
Effectively manage the resources to ensure minimum downtime and maximum efficiency
Recruit Controllers and Key Operatives
Deal with first level disciplinaries and implement HR procedures.
Ensure all SOPs are followed and all relevant personnel trained
Responsible for the effective implementation of the site Health and Safety Policy as the front line of management and to influence staff.
Co-operate with the appointed Safety Representatives in matters relating to Health and Safety.

You Will Need To:

Understand targets and KPI reporting.
Be computer literate
Have Leadership/ Supervisory experience within a Food manufacturing environment.
NVQ level 4
3rd Level Qualification
Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate.
Modern apprenticeship.
FMCG experience.
