In this critical position, you will conduct property surveys, assessing and reporting on building conditions both internally and externally. Your expertise will drive improvements in housing standards, safety and energy efficiency, shaping the future of sustainable housing in the region.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct stock condition surveys to meet regulatory standards, including Decent Homes and HHSRS.
- Assess energy efficiency, helping achieve environmental targets through recommendations in line with PAS2035.
- Identify and manage risks, including hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to devise solutions for property condition issues.
- Maintain records using our stock condition database and support quality assurance.

This role is being offered on a full time, fixed term basis for a period of up to 18 months to cover a period of maternity leave. You will be based in the Bristol, Weston-super-Mare and Taunton area.

About The CandidateTo be successful in your application, you will meet the essential skills and experience for a Level 1 role (please see our candidate information pack) and the following role specific requirements:
- Experience in building surveying or construction management, ideally within a social housing setting.
- Knowledge of domestic building pathology and a commitment to safety and sustainability.
- Excellent communication skills, customer focus and a proactive problem-solving approach.
- HNC, NVQ or equivalent qualifications in a property-related field.
- PAS 2035 or DEA accreditation, or a willingness to work towards.
- Full UK driving licence, and access to a suitable vehicle.
